I could swear I saw a red-headed woodpecker, as big as a turkey, in the tree. I grabbed my camera, took the shot and - well - it's a rather interpretive shot as you can see. Then I took another shot of him flying away. A real fine action shot. The money shot. He was big. Huge. He had a red head. Honest!
We had a red headed woodpecker in the garden one year ... only ever saw him once but I certainly took lots of photos of him and did a blog post about it. Maybe the one you saw will fly over to my garden.
ReplyDeleteThis guy was huge....size of a hawk...my aunt identified him as some very unusual red-headed woodpecker - hame I can't remember - but he was glorious. Hope you see him!
